New Policy regarding Covid-19 Hospital Policies:
As case numbers continue to fall, and businesses open up, we are excited to announce that we will be starting to allow pet owners to accompany their animals back into the hospital for office visits. We will be taking this process slowly and in a step wise fashion, keeping the safety of our team members and our clients our top priority. The updated policy will be as follows:
Please call from your car upon arrival to check in and please remain with your car. If you get the voice mail, we are assisting another client. Please call back and speak directly with one of our team members. Do not leave a message on voice mail. We will tell you which door to come in and you will go directly to the examination room. We will take payments from you in the exam room. We do not want people congregating in the waiting room.
Only one pet parent will be allowed to enter the hospital for the visit, with the exception of end-of-life services.
We will never ask anyone about their vaccination status, as we recognize that everyone has a different view on vaccinations. As such, anyone entering the hospital must have a face covering on regardless of vaccination status, that must cover the nose and mouth for the entire visit, due to the close nature of our work. If you prefer not to wear a mask, we kindly ask that you continue to utilize our curbside services for your pets. We will continue curbside services for anyone who is not comfortable entering the building or with our new procedures.
We are a privately owned business and came up with these policies with the safety of our patients and our team members in mind. We are fully aware of the new rules allowed by the state, but these are our policies for our business. If you have any questions or concerns, please address them to Dr. Bloom directly. Please do not express your frustration or disagreement with these protocols with any of our team members, especially those answering the phones or accompanying you and your pets into our facility. This past year has been stressful for everyone. We have tried our best to continue to offer the same personalized care to everyone. We are still striving to maintain a standard of care and cleanliness in our hospital. Unfortunately, unforeseen delays have occurred due to emergencies, or our trying to accommodate everyone who calls. We try our best to accommodate everyone’s needs, but there are times that we simply have no appointments for the time that you desire. We ask for your continued understanding and patience. We ask that you treat our staff with the same respect and compassion that we strive to show you. We will not tolerate any rude or disrespectful treatment of any team members of Central Monmouth Animal Hospital. They are trying their best to do their jobs during a very stressful and unprecedented time.
We want to thank you for being part of the Central Monmouth Animal Hospital family. We appreciate your continued support and patience as we hopefully have entered the tail end of this pandemic. Together we can get through this.
These new policies will go into effect on June 28th, 2021. They will be subject to change should there be a rise in case numbers. We will continue to re-evaluate our procedures over the next few months, as we hope to be able to move toward less restrictions.
Thank you,
Drs. Neil Bloom and Sarah Marcus
And the entire staff at Central Monmouth Animal Hospital.
